Saddle Lake Elementary School
Saddle Lake, Alberta
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
Located in Saddle Lake, Alberta, the Onchaminahos Elementary School is a two-story, state-of-the-art facility designed to accommodate 350 students. Combining durable concrete with elegant mass timber construction, the building emphasizes sustainability while deeply reflecting Indigenous cultural values.
Lauden is proud to have served as the mechanical contractor for this landmark project, delivering custom HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems tailored to meet both modern performance standards and the unique cultural and environmental needs of the community.
Whitehorse Gym and Climbing Wall
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
Spanning over 3,000 square meters, the Whitehorse Gymnastics and Climbing Facility is a cutting-edge recreational hub designed to elevate the athletic landscape of the Yukon. The facility features a massive 110 ft x 160 ft open floor area dedicated to gymnastics, alongside a 120 ft climbing wall—marking the territory’s first full-sized climbing gym.
Lauden Mechanical Innovation proudly served as the mechanical contractor for this landmark project, delivering customized HVAC and plumbing systems tailored to the demands of a high-performance, multi-sport environment. Despite the 2,200 km distance between our team in Bonnyville, Alberta, and the build site in Whitehorse, we executed the project with precision through our advanced prefabrication and modeling workflows. All systems were fully fabricated and delivered a full seven months ahead of substantial completion, arriving on-site well in advance to align with project scheduling. This approach allowed us to minimize site visits while ensuring timely, efficient installation—demonstrating how our process overcomes geographic challenges to deliver world-class mechanical solutions, wherever they’re needed.
Fort Mac 468 Community Center
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
Lauden Mechanical Innovation served as the mechanical contractor for the new 3,822 m² Fort McMurray Community Center, located near Gregoire Lake and built to support the Fort Mac 486 First Nations. The facility includes a gymnasium, café, indoor playground, fitness center, elders’ room, and community gathering spaces, all designed to promote wellness and cultural connection.
Lauden delivered advanced HVAC and plumbing systems tailored to the needs of this multi-use facility. Leveraging digital modeling and prefabrication, Lauden completed a significant amount of the mechanical work off-site, ensuring high efficiency and quality. With a proven track record in remote locations across Western and Northern Canada, Lauden has extensive experience working in First Nation communities, building projects in partnership with local people based on trust, respect, and collaboration. Lauden continues to deliver innovative, reliable mechanical solutions that meet the unique needs of every community they serve.
The Lodge at Metis Crossing
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
Located near Smoky Lake, Alberta, The Lodge at Métis Crossing is a 40-room boutique luxury lodge set on historic Métis River lots, overlooking the stunning North Saskatchewan River. Each room features a private patio or balcony with panoramic river views, and the lodge can accommodate up to 110 guests — making it ideal for retreats, events, and cultural getaways. Blending modern comfort with Métis heritage, The Lodge offers a unique and enriching experience in the heart of nature.
As the mechanical contractor for this landmark project, Lauden Mechanical Innovation provided high-efficiency HVAC and plumbing systems tailored to the lodge’s premium standards. Using advanced digital modeling and off-site prefabrication, we ensured quality, comfort, and performance — helping bring this exceptional destination to life.
Mistassiniy School
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
Mistassiniy School, located in Wabasca-Desmarais, Alberta, now offers a modern, inclusive space for up to 415 students in grades 7–12. The recent upgrades include a new foods classroom, gymnasium, CTS (Career & Technology Studies) spaces, improved natural lighting, and a dedicated cultural area — all designed to support student growth and community connection. This revitalized school provides students and faculty with a dynamic and inclusive space for learning, creativity, and growth.
Lauden Mechanical Innovation delivered efficient, high-performance HVAC and plumbing systems for this project. Through digital modeling and prefabrication, we ensured quality, comfort, and minimal disruption — helping create a future-ready learning environment.
École des Quatre-Vents School
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
Located in Peace River, Alberta, the new École des Quatre-Vents (EQV) Replacement School is a proud symbol of growth and celebration for the local Francophone community. Purpose-built to support modern learning, the facility offers students a welcoming, state-of-the-art environment that reflects both cultural identity and educational excellence.
As the mechanical contractor for EQV, Lauden Mechanical Innovation delivered advanced HVAC and plumbing systems for this design-build school project. By partnering early in the design process, we helped shape efficient, innovative solutions that balanced performance, cost, and constructability. Leveraging digital modeling and prefabrication, we minimized on-site disruption and ensured long-term reliability — creating a comfortable, future-ready environment for students and staff.
Cenovus emergency services building
Foster Creek, AB
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
The Foster Creek Emergency Services building is a full service, state of the art technical facility which is considered one of the largest industrial emergency services buildings in Canada. This building was completed in a compressed schedule at a remote northern location with state of the art mechanical systems, while maintaining operational capacity.
St. Paul Sobeys Store
St. Paul, AB
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
New full size grocery store was completed in a condensed schedule of 8 months.
McTavish School
Fort McMurray, AB
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
New public junior high school project was designated LEED silver. Highlights include 2 full size gyms, full performing arts stage and large student gathering area. Project duration was 26 months.
Jean Baptiste Sewepagaham School
Fox Lake, AB
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
The school is located in one of Canada’s most remote communities south of the 60th parallel. The school is only accessible by air, by a 1.1 km-long ice bridge in the winter and by a small barge in the summer. Pre planning and coordination of all parties was critical to the success of this project.
